It’s high time Frankie, Matt, and I dragged Dennis out for dinner (I kid, I kid - Dennis is genuinely happy we asked and makes time out of a busy schedule for us). We’ve exhausted most of the other steak places in Bristol, and we’ve got Pasture booked in a month’s time, so we’ve reached Mugshot on the list. The gimmick is that your steak is cooked sous vide and you then finish it to your preferred level on a hot stone in front of you. It’s more gimmick than useful preparation method - just make me my steak the way I want it, please. They are generous with the butters and sauces, though, compared to other steak places, and the pork belly bites are a fine starter. Still - I await next month’s trip to Pasture a little more after this.
