It’s Zac’s surprise 30th birthday party! Martha has very successfully arranged lots of his friends to gather at Chance & Counters for an afternoon of board games and delicious, delicious cake (oh it was so good, but it’s unrelated to C&C). After much waiting, our lunch orders are collated, and after - to be fair to them - less waiting, our burgers arrive. I opt for a chicken burger, which is unnecessarily topped with cheese (not the way for a chicken burger, only for a beef patty, sort it out), but the confit garlic aioli and lettuce works well with it. It’s nothing special, but it does the job.
