As we are staying at the Nobu, and as we have dined at the Nobu, it would seem churlish not to take in the rooftop bar at the Nobu.
Said rooftop is 25 floors up, which does give it quite a view of the city. It also, on a windy day, does pick up quite a chill.
We’re only killing time before dinner, really, and it’s just a quick cocktail. A mocktail, even, for me. I go for a Shichimi Passion, which is - like all mocktails, don’t @ me - better than a real cocktail.
Alasdair goes for a Coyote, which has some combination of ingredients (that’s very much how it works, to be fair) and it has a helluva kick to it.
The views are delightful, and if the pool were heated or the weather was nicer, we’d have had a dip, but otherwise we enjoyed a brief cocktail with a book each and then went back down to our room to watch TV. Ideal.
