After a very nice birthday meal for Alasdair, we retire to his mum and step-dad’s hotel for a nightcap. I can’t say I’ve ever been to the Moxy - why would I, it’s a hotel in the city I live in. But it’s nice to have a reason to not go back. Terrible service, and my cocktail - some kind of weird Baileys, vodka, and caramel concoction - is genuinely undrinkable beyond a couple of sips to confirm. Bonus marks, though, for the house remix of There She Goes by The Las that plays at one point.
