One of the first things I instituted in my team on becoming a manager was a regular team breakfast, at Boston Tea Party, down the road from the office. It’s currently once a month on a Friday morning, and here we are for the first of the year.
In an effort to not really need any more food for the rest of the day, I order both a salted caramel milkshake and a Boss Breakfast. It’s efficient.
Fair play to them, it’s a good breakfast. There’s a lot of toast, too, which does not go unappreciated.
I have many opinions on full English breakfasts, some of which I’ll save for inevitible future entries involving them, but I’ll start with the biggie - sausages are always better than bacon, and if the online ordering system would give me the option, I’d have swapped out the bacon for double sausages. Alas.
The hash browns at BTP are always fascinating, though, unlike any other I’ve had. Not a bad thing, they’re still nice, but of all the items in a full English you feel the need to differentiate on, why that? Why that indeed.
