Alasdair would like to go birdwatching for his birthday. I, his mum, and step-dad oblige. We drive over to RSPB Ham Wall for the day. I am advised to bring my Kindle so I can sit in a hide and read for a bit, but the opportunity never really arises. Alasdair sees lots of birds and is very excited by it all, and I enjoy the views and take some photos. It’s nice to be out for a walk, and the weather is pleasant if a bit nippy, so no complaints from me.
