  1. Having just watched Challengers, I was reminded of this… well god knows what this is, really. But it arguably does have more sex in it than Challengers (is it sexier? That is left as an exercise for the reader)

  2. I mean my god, it does not let up for its run time. It’s absolutely full of ideas - not all as good as each other, but it’s almost that Airplane!-esque thing of if you don’t like one, there’ll be another along before you know it.

  3. There’s a lot to be said about the use of real sports stars (Serena Williams?! John McEnroe?! [less surprising on McEnroe, he’s always been game for a joke in 30 Rock]) - yes, ok, it’s just fun to see serious people loosen up and do something fun and be good at it, but there’s also the drive for verisimilitude which separates good parody from bad parody.

  4. The comedic cast are fantastic, though. Lots of people playing lots of blinders. Michael Sheen, jesus.

  5. This isn’t even about the film, but it is fun remembering those Taiwanese animated news reconstructions. Simpler times.
