I do think that if I’d known that this was going to be a seven volume novel and that Balle had only just finished volume 5, I might not have started this just yet. But here we are. It was fun to realise that this was a time loop centred around the 18th of November, but I don’t think I can make that last for the next six books. In the meantime! Volume 1 is intriguing, more variable than your standard time loop work of fiction. It speaks to what routine is and isn’t, being a ghost in your own house, the ruts we find ourselves in. It’s not exactly a cliffhanger ending, but I am looking forward to how Balle extends this as far as she’s clearly intending.
